The Battle of Agincourt
The Battle of Agincourt canvas print The Battle of Agincourt canvas print Ref: G259

2015 marked the 600th Anniversary of the battle of Agincourt, a battle that pitted Henry V's small and exhausted army against the massed ranks of the French nobility, made icons of Henry V and the English longbowman, and become part of English national identity.

Henry V is in the thick of the fighting, surrounded by his bodyguard and with his banners flying above him, as they desperately fight off the French knights and men at arms who have struggled through the mud and barrage of English arrows to reach their antagonists.

Each canvas is individually printed on very good quality cotton canvas before being stretched on wooden stretcher bars - just like the original oil painting - and then varnished for protection. Graham Turner produces these canvases himself; they are created by the artist and not bought in from outside, so the result is as close to the original as possible.

Note that canvas prints have no white border - this is the overall size of the canvas on its wooden stretcher bars and the image extends to the edge.

Each canvas is individually signed (on the reverse, as there is no border) by the artist, Graham Turner.
