The Battle of Castillon, 1453The Battle of Castillon, 1453 Ref: GT-CAS

Anglo-Gascon forces desperately try to break into the heavily defended French artillery park at Castillon, with John, Lord Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury and his son, Viscount Lisle, overseeing the attack. Talbot appears to be unarmoured, following his ransom agreement earlier in the war, and he and Lisle would both be listed amongst the dead after the battle. Breton cavalry can be seen charging into the fray to strike the Anglo-Gascons in the flank and lead to another English defeat in the final phases of the Hundred Years War.
