Surprise, Surprise - 24"x 20" Giclée Print Ref: Gic-M291-L

The first ballistic interception trials were carried out in the winter of 1962/3 by the RAF Air Fighter Development Squadron, using a pair of English Electric Lightning F1As. The ‘target’ was an unsuspecting USAF Lockheed U2 from Upper Heyford, flying at its invulnerable altitude of 72000ft over the arctic on a surveillance mission.

Giclée prints are individually printed to order on very high quality heavyweight (300gsm) acid free fine art paper, using inks which provide the best colour and finest detail of any prints we offer. The whole process is under Graham Turner's control, and that, together with Michael's input and approval, ensure excellent quality and a picture that is as close to the original as possible. Dimensions given are approximate and include a white border, where Michael Turner personally signs each print.
