After relieving the siege of York, Prince Rupert's Royalist army met the allied Parliamentarian forces in battle on Marston Moor on the 2nd July 1644. John Tincey's book details this hard fought battle that resulted in a catastrophic defeat for the Royalist army and drove them from the north of England.
Marston Moor is part of Osprey's Campaign series and includes more than 90 illustrations in colour and black and white. Three specially commissioned, full colour double page spreads by Graham Turner illustrate important moments in this famous campaign.
